Rosemary T. Woullard

Part-time Assistant Professor of Education

Rosemary, a native of Jackson, Miss, has been an educator for 35+ years. Before joining the faculty at William Carey University, she taught at various educational levels: junior high school in Richton, MS; Callaway High School in Jackson, MS; Honolulu Community Action Program, Honolulu, Hi; English as a second language at The English Language Institute at The University of Southern MS; Hattiesburg High in Hattiesburg, MS; and Pearl River Community College in Poplarville, MS. She also worked as an Educational Consultant for JBHM. Her professional interests include teaching English to speakers of other languages and helping new teachers discover, prepare, use and share strategies for effective differentiated classroom instruction. Working to help teachers connect students’ learning to improve students’ ability to become better readers and writers is another professional passion.

Rosemary is an advocate for serving the community and is involved with several organizations that service the needs of the local area: Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc, Delta Kappa Gamma Society and Hattiesburg Family YMCA. Rosemary enjoys reading, movies, music, playing word games, singing, traveling, and spending time with her husband, Joe; two sons, David and Joseph; daughter-in-law, Shauna and grandchild, Nova Lee.
