Laurie Pitre

Dr. Laurie Pitre is an Assistant Professor on the Tradition Campus. Dr. Pitre has 29 years of experience in education, beginning as a teacher, then as an assistant principal and principal in the Pearl Public School District. She spent 17 years as the principal of North Bay Elementary in the Biloxi Public School District before retiring from public education. She has also worked as an educational consultant and trainer for an educational software company and in school districts across the country and Canada.

At William Carey, Dr. Pitre supports new teachers in the education field through the alternate route program. She also assists students acquiring advanced degrees by teaching graduate level classes on the Tradition Campus.
