The STEM endorsement will prepare prospective and practicing teachers to integrate and incorporate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics into K-12 classrooms. The program was developed in response to calls at the national and local levels to recruit, educate and support STEM education. The STEM Education Certification program is for any teacher wanting to develop a STEM background.

This add-on endorsement is 12 hours over two trimesters.
The four STEM courses build in difficulty over two trimesters. Students will take one class for five weeks and then a second class during the remaining five weeks of the trimester for a total of six hours. The classes are offered online and on occasion, virtually. William Carey uses Canvas as the learning management system for online coursework.

Prospective graduate students must: Complete an online application and pay application fee Submit all official transcripts electronically to Graduate Admissions Have a GPA of 2.50 for the last 64 hours of undergraduate work or a cumulative GPA of 2.50 Hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university Hold or qualify to hold a Class A teacher’s license and provide a copy Provide two recommendations from current or past supervisors Prospective undergraduate students must: Seek advisor approval
