The objective of the M.Ed. in Elementary Education is to build professional skills that affect positive changes in both K-6 classrooms and school districts. This program engages students in the most current research, technology, and evidence-based best practices in working with children at all levels to reach their highest potential. Throughout the program, students will turn theory into practical classroom applications that can be used immediately.

This program is 30 hours and may be completed in a minimum of 12-15 months. This program begins every trimester.
Delivery Method
Classes are delivered in a fully online format that is perfect for the working student who wants to take their education to the next level. A cohort delivery of this program is available for schools or groups that wish to move through the program together. This delivery method allows students to develop relationships that support and enhance the learning process. Students may begin the program any term. Classes are designed to be flexible, and require no synchronous meetings. Students will have the opportunity to build a portfolio of materials to use in day-to-day instruction.
Applicant Prerequisites & Requirements
Prospective students must:
Complete an online application & pay application fee
Submit official copies of all transcripts to Graduate Admissions via eScript or mailed from the institution
Have a GPA of 2.5 for the last 64 hours of undergraduate work or a cumulative GPA of 2.5
Hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
Hold or qualify to hold a Class A teacher’s license and provide a copy
Provide two recommendations from past or current supervisors
